Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager with a strong background in Banking and/or Insurance, specializing in BCBS239 and RDARR (Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting). The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to financial institutions, helping them understand, assess, and address their regulatory, data management, and risk reporting challenges.

This role combines deep subject matter expertise, client relationship management, commercial development, and transformation leadership. The Senior Manager will work closely with Partners and executive stakeholders across the Benelux region to support financial institutions in their journey towards BCBS239 and RDARR compliance and maturity.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Thought Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to banks and insurance companies on BCBS239 and RDARR-related topics.

  • Engage with senior stakeholders to understand their regulatory challenges, strategic ambitions, and implementation priorities.

  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory expectations from the European Central Bank (ECB), National Competent Authorities (NCAs), and Joint Supervisory Teams (JSTs).

  • Translate regulatory requirements into pragmatic implementation roadmaps and transformation initiatives.

Assessments & Transformation Programs

  • Lead BCBS239 and RDARR maturity assessments for mid-sized and large financial institutions.

  • Identify gaps, weaknesses, risks, and improvement opportunities across governance, processes, data, reporting, and technology capabilities.

  • Develop actionable remediation plans and strategic roadmaps that align with regulatory expectations and business objectives.

  • Oversee and support implementation programs aimed at improving risk data aggregation and risk reporting capabilities.

Data & Governance Expertise

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of:

    • Data Management

    • Data Quality Management

    • Metadata Management

    • Data Governance

    • Data Lineage and Traceability

    • Risk Reporting Frameworks

  • Understand how these capabilities contribute to BCBS239 compliance and sustainable risk management practices.

Commercial Development

  • Identify opportunities within existing and new client relationships.

  • Contribute to business development activities across the Benelux market.

  • Prepare, present, negotiate, and close consulting proposals.

  • Support Partners in developing long-term strategic client relationships.

  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams during assessments and implementation projects.

  • Operate effectively in a flat organizational structure with highly skilled specialists.

  • Mobilize and coordinate experts from different practices and teams as required.

  • Ensure high-quality delivery standards and maintain the organization's reputation as a trusted and premium advisory partner.

Job requirements

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Banking, Insurance, Consulting, or Financial Services.

  • Demonstrated experience with BCBS239 and/or RDARR programs, assessments, or implementations.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and supervisory reviews conducted by the ECB, National Banks, and JSTs.

  • Experience conducting maturity assessments and defining target-state operating models and remediation roadmaps.

  • Experience interacting with executive stakeholders within financial institutions.

  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and navigate organizational change.

  • Previous consulting experience is strongly preferred.
