Junior Solution Architect

At Datashift, we turn data into valuable insights. Within our rapidly growing Data Governance practice, we are looking for a  Junior Solution Architect  who is eager to grow into a key role in designing future-proof data governance solutions. 

Your Role 

As a Junior Solution Architect in the Data Governance domain, you’ll have the opportunity to grow under the guidance of experienced colleagues. You’ll contribute to designing solutions that help organizations gain control over their data, stay compliant, and unlock its full potential. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Supporting the design of data governance architectures (e.g. data cataloging, metadata management, data quality, lineage...). 

• Assisting in the implementation of tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or Informatica. 

• Guiding clients through their data governance maturity journey. 

• Learning how to translate business needs into technical solutions. 

• Actively participating in workshops, analyses, and proof-of-concepts. 

• Gradually taking on more responsibility within projects. 
  

Your Role

As a Junior Solution Architect at Datashift, you ensure that data governance is not just a concept, but something that truly works in practice. You build and configure solutions around metadata, data quality, and lineage by setting up integrations, using APIs, harvesting metadata, and implementing workflows, often on platforms like Collibra. Working closely with data engineers, architects, and business profiles, you translate governance requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions. You automate processes, integrate various data sources, and embed governance directly into data pipelines. This allows you to combine strong engineering skills with real impact on compliance, AI governance, and sustainable data platforms. On top of that, you ensure that all critical data-related information is centralized in a single data catalog.

What We Expect From You 

• 1–3 years of experience in data consultancy, engineering, or analysis. 

• A strong interest in data governance and the ambition to grow in this field. 

• Basic knowledge of data management concepts (metadata, data quality, compliance...). 

• Strong analytical and communication skills. 

• A proactive and eager-to-learn mindset. 

• Fluency in Dutch and/or French, with a good command of English.
