Collibra Consultant
- Rotterdam
Job description
Datashift is a very fast-growing consultancy team with a focus on delivering solutions that answer business questions with data and facts. In early 2025, we opened an office in Rotterdam to strengthen our support for clients in the Netherlands and drive our continued growth.
Opportunity
For one of our fastest growing practices, we are looking for a skilled Collibra Consultant. In this role, you will play a key role in helping our clients design, implement, and scale their data governance capabilities using Collibra as a central platform.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on data governance best practices using Collibra – Guide organizations in defining and implementing data governance frameworks, translating policies, roles, and processes into workable Collibra configurations.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders – Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating workshops to capture requirements, drive user adoption, and demonstrate the value of Collibra-enabled data governance.
Implement Collibra solutions – Lead and execute data governance projects with a strong focus on Collibra, including platform configuration, operating model setup, workflows, metadata ingestion, and integrations.
Assess & improve data governance maturity – Evaluate clients’ current data governance landscape, identify gaps, and support the rollout of scalable Collibra solutions that improve data quality, lineage, ownership, and regulatory compliance.
Job requirements
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience – Background in data management, analytics, engineering, BI, or data governance, with hands-on or growing specialization in Collibra.
Consulting & client engagement skills – Experience working with external clients (or complex internal stakeholders) to gather requirements, deliver solutions, and support change and adoption.
Hands-on Collibra experience – Practical experience with Collibra (Data Catalog, Data Governance Center, workflows, integrations) is strongly preferred. Experience with other data catalog or metadata management tools is a plus.
Technical proficiency – Familiar with SQL, APIs, and data integration concepts (e.g. ELT); experience with scripting (Python, Groovy) for Collibra workflow automation or customization is considered a strong plus.
Communication – Fluent in English and Dutch.
