Accountant

Datashift is on the lookout for a full‑time accountant who’s ready to manage the accounting across all our entities. In a fast‑moving and collaborative environment, you’ll be in charge of processing bills and invoices, reconciling daily bank transactions, support in monthly and year-end closings, and helping drive continuous improvements in the way we work, in close collaboration with our CFO.

Responsibilities

For all our entities, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Performing daily general and analytical accounting (BE GAAP & NL GAAP)

• Processing bills

• Preparing and issuing invoices

• Processing payroll entries and related provisions

• Preparing payments and reconciling bank transactions

• Preparing/assisting with monthly and annual closings

• Managing operational finance processes (e.g. expenses, timesheets, etc.)

• Acting as the first point of contact for our financial auditor

• Providing administrative support, ad‑hoc tasks, and assisting the CFO

• Preparing and filing VAT returns

What we are looking for

• A motivated accountant with a first experience of ideally 2 to 5 years

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Solid proficiency in MS Office. Experience with accounting software such as Exact Online is a plus

• Analytical mind, strong eye for detail and accurate in working with numbers

• Someone who enjoys contributing to process optimizations

• Ability to manage multiple demanding priorities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English
